User Access Guide
How to set up your account, manage your classes and get the most out of Kalimat’s MFL AI tools.
1. Setting up your group
Register your membership
Click your unique registration link. If you have a discount code (for example
KALI20F3), enter it at checkout. Once payment is confirmed you are taken straight to your Workspace.Understand the parent & seat model
You are the parent account holder. You manage the subscription and hold a set number of seats to assign to pupils. Pupils never pay, and they never give us an email address.
Generate your student IDs
In your Workspace, open the Privacy ID Manager. Enter a class code (for example
10A) and the number of pupils, then click Generate. You get one unique ID per pupil, in the formF3GM-10A-01.Onboard your pupils
Download the CSV and print it. Give each pupil the 4-letter school code and their own student ID, then send them to Student Registration to activate the account.
Teacher FAQ
-
Where do I find my school code?
It is the 4-letter prefix on every student ID your Workspace generates. In
F3GM-10A-01the school code isF3GM. -
Do my pupils need email addresses?
No. Kalimat runs a zero-PII model for pupils: a school code, a student ID and a password they choose themselves. We hold no pupil names or email addresses.
-
Can I remove a pupil?
Yes. Delete their ID list in the Privacy ID Manager. That frees the seats, so you can generate a fresh list for another class.
-
What if I need more seats?
Upgrade your membership tier at any time from your account settings — for example from Small Group to Classroom. See Plans for the current tiers.
-
Can I see what my pupils have been doing?
Yes. Each pupil has an activity log in their own Workspace showing which tools they used and when. Ask them to open it in class, or review it together at the start of a lesson.
1. Activating your account
Open the student portal
Go to Student Registration. You never need an email address to use Kalimat — our zero-PII system keeps you anonymous.
Enter your two codes
Type the 4-letter school code (for example
F3UW) and your own student ID (for exampleF3UW-10A-01) exactly as they appear on your slip.Choose a password
Pick a password only you know. Click Activate and you go straight to your personal Student Workspace.
2. Getting the best from the tools
-
Speaking practice
A simulated oral exam. The AI asks a question, listens to your answer and gives you a score plus a model answer. Tip: practise in a quiet room and speak clearly.
-
Writing feedback assistant
Write your sentences or essay and the AI suggests corrections. Do not just copy the fix — work out why it changed, and the grammar will stick.
-
Smart text leveller
Found an article that is too hard? The leveller simplifies the vocabulary and grammar so you can get the meaning first, then work back up to the original.
-
Your activity log
Open My Account from the top menu and look for Activity log. It shows which tools you used and when — a simple way to show your teacher the work you have done outside class.
3. Conduct & safety
Your code of conduct
- AI is a tutor, not a shortcut. Use it to understand the language, not to finish homework quickly.
- Never share your student ID or password. The account is yours alone.
- Only enter your own work. Do not paste in anything personal about yourself or anyone else.
Our safety promise
- Respectability filters: every tool blocks mature, adult or politically sensitive material.
- Vetted sourcing: cultural and literary extracts come from figures and texts of academic repute only.
- Age-adaptive language: younger pupils get simpler wording; older pupils keep full academic rigour.
Something not working?
-
My login will not work
Check the school code and student ID character by character — the two are easy to mix up. If they are right, ask your teacher to confirm the seat is still assigned to you.
-
The page will not load properly
Clear your browser cache and reload. Kalimat is optimised for Google Chrome.
